YAZER
ICE COLD UNDER PRESSURE
Born and raised in Fuquay Varina, Yazer Vasquez spent the first half of his youth development across multiple local clubs. At the age of 13, he began to make appearances for Sunday-league adult soccer teams. Having a natural scoring instinct, he would go onto finish top 3 in goals, in his first year (2017).
In the summer of 2018 Yazer would land on the radar of coach Luis Rios Jr, who's team also agreed on representing Wake FC for that coming Fall. An instant boost to the squad, Yazer would collect MVP at two regional tournaments, and top scorer in that year's State Cup.
In 2020, at the age of 17, he signed for Central Raleigh FC U-23. In his first year, Yazer was named in the Conference XI for both UPSL Division One and ECCL. He also finished top scorer in the Eastern Carolina Conference League.
Yazer Vasquez has repaid the faith put in him, time and time again. Since playing in the first team, he has averaged a 0.91 goals per game (3 seasons) and always served a pivotal role in the attack. When he's needed the most, he will always step up and we are eternally grateful for his loyalty to the squad.
